WAIMEA VINTAGE TELEVISORE BRIONVEGA ALGOL 3 First series 1964 The ALGOL 3 (First series) is an unusual 11-inch portable transistor television. In 1964 Marco Zanuso and Richard Sapper designed this transient television Brionvega model Algol 11 and marketed by the Milanese company Brionvega. It is characterized by the rounded and tilted screen (Zanuso, for this reason, will compare it to a dog that looks up his master) and by the removable metal handle. The appliance is made of ABS NERO plastic with beveled profiles. The kinescope has a 90° deflection to allow for an easy vision. At the top you will find the operating controls for ignition, brightness and contrast volume regulation, the selection of pre-selected VHF and UHF channels. On the back of the TV you have the sockets for connection to the electrical network, to the rechargeable internal battery, to the VHF and UHF channels, for an external speaker and the antenna selector. The ALGOL 11 is a world icon of industrial design, located in the most important museums of contemporary art, also the MoMa of New York holds an example. The television is to be tested as the power cord is missing, there are some small signs caused by time. PERFECT CONDITIONS
